These images from California are by students from five schools in Southern California who participated in ArtsBridge Look Again and Picturing Peace projects.
The ArtsBridge Look Again pictures from Golden Hill Elementary School, McFadden Intermediate School and Thurston Middle School were featured in the first exhibition in June 2003 at the University of California, Irvine. Look Again pictures were awarded Goya Peace Awards by the Citizen Peacebuilding Program, Hewlett- Packard Innovation & Invention Awards, Christensen Fund Awards for Visual Arts, and ArtsBridge America Awards.
In 2004, 4th grade students from Lowell Elementary School and Turtle Rock Elementary School explored concepts of peace the Picturing Peace project. Their work has been shown in Picturing Peace exhibitions in Belfast and Wisconsin.
